We recommend that you sleep
on a satin pillow case so that your braid will last and look its best
for as many days as possible. The slippery satin surface allows the
hair to slide freely on the pillow rather than to become snagged and
adhere to the pillow case. Often stores that have a health and beauty
section will have a slumber cap made of satin. This too will help
your hair, even after you have taken your braid out! You'll have fewer
tangles and less mussy hair in the morning.
If you do not have a satin pillow case or slumber cap, see if you
can find some satin pajamas. Then just tuck your pillow inside them and that will
work.
No satin in the house? Try taking a pair of panty hose, cutting the
legs off at the crotch and then use the panty
portion to pop over the braid and hold it secure while you sleep. |
